The One with the Introductions

Hello world! My name is Mollee. I am a Licensed Professional Counseling Associate in the state of North Carolina. For as long as I can remember, I have been passionate about helping others and writing. In fact, I liked those things so much I decided to study both at the same time my first go around in college. I graduated from Texas A&M University in 2012 with degrees in Psychology and English. At this point in my life I knew three things: I loved people, I loved adventure, and I loved helping others. I was accepted in the JET Programme and moved to Kumamoto Prefecture to teach English as a Foreign Language in Japan. I taught English to elementary school students, middle school students, preschool students, and adults. I loved teaching but I found that I valued my individual, one-on-one interactions with students even more than my role as a teacher. In 2013, I returned to the United States to pursue my Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling at Wake Forest University. My second year I was elected as the President of our Chapter of Chi Sigma Iota, an international counseling honor society. I was also chosen to be the Student Editor for our department newsletter. I graduated in May of 2015. Since then, I have worked with individuals and families of a variety of ages and backgrounds. I have also worked and interned in a variety of settings, including: hospitals, schools, and counseling offices. I am especially passionate about working with children and adolescents.

All of this leads me to today. I am a counselor and I still love to write. As a counselor, I am sometimes frustrated with the lack of free, quality information available to parents. I want to share my counseling worksheets with everyone. I want to share information with everyone.  So while this website is not a substitute for counseling, I hope that I can share my knowledge about key issues that affect children, adolescents, adults, and families. I am excited to be writing and I can’t wait to share information share with you.
